WRC, UESD STRENGTHENS PARTNERSHIP
The Water Resources Commission (WRC) hss engaged a delegation of the University of Environment and Sustainable Development(UESD) on areas of close collaboration to enhance the Water Sector.
Madam Dorcas A. Paintsil, Acting Executive Secretary of the WRC who welcomed the delegation from UESD's School of Sustainable Development, expressed optimism the discussion on common areas of interest would further strengthen the relationship between both organisations.
Likewise, Dr Michael Tuffour, head of the four-member delegation and Head of the Department of the Water Resources and Sustainable Development of the School, noted the need to streamline areas of engagement.
Some of the areas touched on include collaborative research, organising short courses, resource mobilisation, community engagement and mentorship among others.
The discussion also explore internship and employment opportunities for students.
The delegation included Dr. Prize McApreko; Dr. Abass Gibrilla and Dr. Daniella D. Segbegah.
Other WRC staff at the meeting were Dr Mawuli Lumor, Mr George Baah, Ms. Lawrencia Ziwu and Kwesi Yirenkyi Boateng.
